AJ advises the audience to note signs of not normal aging and engage in dialogue with the older adult and other family members in order to learn more. In many cases this would include seeing a medical professional for a holistic workup to check whether there is a diagnosis requiring treatment, planning and proactive care.AJ Cipperly has been supporting older adults living with dementia, and their families, for over 20 years. AJ currently serves as the Vice President of Memory Care at the Arbor Company in Atlanta, GA, and has spent her career working with family and professional caregivers to help them understand the journey of dementia so that they can provide better support. AJ has held similar roles across her career and served the Alzheimer’s Association as a program specialist, where she provided family counseling and public education on cognitive impairment and dementia.
